This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish and expand an independent financial services advisory practice under the Co-operators brand.
• Foster long-term relationships with community members to understand their financial aspirations.
• Develop a profitable and sustainable client portfolio through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community involvement.
• Offer personalized insurance and wealth solutions that align with clients' objectives.
• Provide advice-driven services that promote long-term financial security for clients and their families.
• Represent the Co-operators in a professional manner within the community, enhancing its reputation and visibility.
• Independently manage the business, time, priorities, and sales pipeline.
• Distribute Co-operators products exclusively under the independent contractor agreement.
• Continuously enhance expertise in insurance, wealth solutions, and market trends.
• Possess a valid Life Insurance License (LLQP or equivalent) and/or Mutual Funds License (e.g., IFC, CIFC), or be willing to acquire them.
• Fulfill ongoing licensing and continuing education obligations.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, or similar advice-driven sales environments.
• Proven experience in operating your own business.
• Background in wealth management, B2B sales, account management, or business development.
• Experience in advisory roles that involve client interaction or relationship management.
• Proven ability to cultivate trusted relationships and translate them into sustainable business growth.
• Strong sales and business development orientation, with a comfort level in prospecting, networking, and creating opportunities.
• Clear and confident communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a disciplined approach to follow-through.
• Client-centric, advice-driven methodology focused on assisting clients and families in achieving financial security.
• Resilience, accountability, and self-motivation are essential qualities.
• Capability to work independently while adhering to the Co-operators' values, brand standards, and client-first principles.
• Willingness to undergo thorough background, credit, and eligibility assessments.
