Financial Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily cash flow and sustain a continuous cash flow forecast to ensure a precise understanding of liquidity.

• Manage the entire payment process, including payments to suppliers, contractors, and company credit cards, guaranteeing timely and accurate processing.

• Formulate and oversee working capital strategies that utilize available payment terms, align outflows with inflows, and reduce idle cash.

• Supervise card and account security measures, including establishing controls, spending limits, and actively detecting and preventing unauthorized transactions.

• Uphold robust internal financial controls and ensure a clear division of responsibilities.

• Assist in managing the company's banking relationships and working capital arrangements.

• Recognize potential financial risks and take proactive measures to address them before they escalate.

• Operate independently and take comprehensive ownership of finance operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in roles such as Financial Controller, Treasury, Senior Finance Operations, or a comparable position.

• Experience in high-volume e-commerce, DTC, consumer sectors, or a similarly fast-paced environment is highly desirable.

• Strong practical experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).

• Exceptional spreadsheet capabilities and confidence in managing financial data.

• A genuine interest in and openness to AI-assisted finance workflows.

• Keen attention to detail and precision when handling sensitive financial information.

• A high degree of discretion and integrity is essential.

• Proactive, low-ego work style with the capability to take ownership without needing extensive processes or supervision.
