This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead the annual planning process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range projections.
• Collaborate with operations teams to convert activities into financial forecasts.
• Analyze variances, identify potential risks, and suggest corrective measures.
• Ensure financial assumptions are consistent with the strategic direction.
• Supervise all accounting functions.
• Prepare and manage internal financial reports.
• Work with external partners to address tax obligations.
• Establish and track financial performance metrics.
• Enhance accounting processes and controls.
• Serve as a key financial partner to operational teams.
• Communicate financial challenges, risks, and opportunities.
• Offer data-driven insights to enhance performance and profitability.
• Support strategic initiatives and significant bids.
• Analyze costs and identify operational performance drivers.
• Conduct scenario analyses and investment assessments.
• Contribute to process enhancements through automation and analytical tools.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance (accounting, financial planning & analysis, operational finance, or controllership).
• A university degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• CPA designation is required or strongly preferred.
• MBA is considered an asset.
• Experience in multi-site or complex environments.
• Proven experience in business partnering and influencing senior management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Capability to simplify financial information and influence non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficient in ERP systems, advanced Excel, and business intelligence tools.
• Ability to thrive in a transforming and fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual in French and English (both spoken and written) is required.
• Ability to merge strategic vision with operational execution.
