This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Take responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, and timely management of the company’s financial records, closing processes, and accounts receivable operations.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Enhance accounting and accounts receivable functions through automation, AI, and process improvements.
• Complete the month-end closing process within 3 business days.
• Ensure that financial statements and balance sheet accounts are precise and fully substantiated.
• Accurately and punctually fulfill all necessary tax filings, remittances, and compliance obligations.
• Keep past-due accounts receivable below 10% and perform a monthly review of aging accounts.
• Manage customer invoicing, including preparation of invoices and credit notes.
• Record and process customer cash receipts; reconcile unapplied cash, deductions, and short payments.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations and investigate any reconciling items.
• Provide cash and short-term liquidity reporting.
• Proactively identify any significant cash or balance-sheet risks.
• Achieve at least 3 measurable process improvements or automations in the first 12 months.
• Serve as a trusted partner to the Controller and business leaders.
• Provide reliable financial data, manage working capital, and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge in accounting principles.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector.
• CPA designation is advantageous.
• Understanding of financial accuracy, closing quality, and internal controls.
• Capability to identify risks and discrepancies, ascertain root causes, and formulate sustainable solutions.
• A mindset focused on controls and compliance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, automation, and AI technologies.
• Ability to enhance processes and consistently deliver results in a dynamic, ownership-driven environment.
• Proficient in building cross-functional relationships across Finance, Operations, IT, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Clear articulation of financial information, risks, and issues to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
