
Financial Business Transformation Lead – Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Serve as the link between Finance, Operations, and Technology to deliver comprehensive business solutions.
• Act as a strategic collaborator in financial transformation projects.
• Lead business analysis for intricate, cross-functional projects involving finance, MGA operations, and premium accounting.
• Recommend and develop scalable future-state solutions while ensuring financial integrity.
• Guide work prioritization based on business value, risk assessments, and urgency.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to fellow analysts.
• Ensure that solutions comply with accounting standards, including revenue recognition and reporting accuracy.
• Assist in month-end and quarter-end reporting cycles by proactively addressing challenges.
• Engage in system evaluation discussions with business teams, vendors, leadership, and project teams.
• Clarify product specifications and project goals.
• Identify and recommend improvements for inefficient, ineffective, costly, or time-sensitive systems and workflows.
• Develop or oversee departmental policies, processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Create educational materials for insurance and financial workflows.
• Provide strategic feedback on workflows and direction to the Director of Financial Projects, Project Manager, and business and finance leaders.
• Collaborate with leaders and vendors to address issues, quality concerns, and corrective measures.
• Work with large departmental and cross-functional teams to resolve complex business challenges.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7–10 years of business or leadership experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong mathematical skills and numerical familiarity.
• Basic knowledge of managing full life cycle software development projects using structured project management methodologies.
• Fundamental understanding of programming and related concepts.
• Ability to convey technical information, both verbally and in writing, to a diverse range of colleagues.
• Proven expertise in accounting and finance, including premium accounting and GAAP standards.
• Comfortable interacting with individuals at all organizational levels in a consultative capacity.
• Experience in process and workflow development and leadership.
• Capable of effectively coaching and mentoring team members.
• Commitment to ongoing technical education is required.
• Willingness to travel approximately 5–10% of the time.
• CPA or equivalent accounting certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Insurance certifications are preferred but not required (AAI, CIC, ARM, etc.).
