This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +20 more states.
• Assist in the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes by updating models, collecting and validating inputs, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining assumptions and documentation.
• Assess submissions for accuracy and completeness, highlight risks or inconsistencies, and monitor performance against budget and forecast through variance analysis.
• Create summary reports and analyses that convey key drivers, underlying data, and variances to finance leadership.
• Generate recurring financial and management reports.
• Conduct variance analysis relative to budget and forecast, pinpointing key drivers and trends.
• Aid in the maintenance and enhancement of financial models for performance evaluation and reporting.
• Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
• Collect, analyze, and organize data to inform business decisions and initiatives.
• Identify data gaps or inconsistencies and escalate the findings accordingly.
• Oversee and assess processes and recurring deliverables to minimize inefficiencies.
• Assist in basic automation and process enhancements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for recurring reports, models, and processes.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including the preparation of reporting materials and variance explanations.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely closing processes.
• Help prepare materials for monthly performance reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or similar roles.
• Previous experience in the Consumer Products or Retail industry is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Solid analytical skills, including data interpretation, trend identification, and supporting actionable insights.
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling.
• Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar financial systems is preferred.
