
Financial Analyst II – Pharmacy Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Execute specialized and intricate financial analyses that support pharmacy finance operations.
• Deliver analytical insights to senior management for operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
• Examine financial data utilizing Workday, TPMS/Financial Advantage, Epic, Sage, and various pharmacy systems.
• Assess accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP.
• Generate financial dashboards for the pharmacy and verify requisitions for budget alignment and financial correctness.
• Manage over $100 million in pharmacy purchase orders and invoice submissions, focusing on accounting treatment and cost forecasting.
• Analyze income statements and conduct decision-support analyses.
• Review financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Compile reports, graphs, charts, conclusions, recommendations, and materials for external auditors.
• Assist in overseeing cash handling and reconciling the general ledger.
• Investigate financial data issues, assess variances, and communicate findings to leadership.
• Aid in developing and updating pharmacy finance policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with University service departments, pharmacy managers, and directors on reporting, purchasing activities, fluctuations, and variances.
• Offer guidance and training to pharmacy personnel.
• Monitor trends in financial management and adjust planning, control, and analytical processes accordingly.
• Lead or coordinate specific financial projects, including establishing timelines and activity plans.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field and 2 years of relevant experience are required.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• 4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with Workday (UR Financials and P2P), TPMS/Financial Advantage, Epic, Sage, and other pharmacy-related systems is essential.
• A solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is required.
