This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Conduct analysis of financial and operational data to uncover trends, clarify variances, and offer actionable recommendations.
• Create regular and on-demand reports detailing revenue, receivables, cash flow, and performance of customer programs.
• Design analytical tools and reporting frameworks to aid stakeholders in understanding results and making informed choices.
• Examine billing activities for precision and completeness, resolving any discrepancies that arise.
• Reconcile balances and transactions across various reports, customer records, and the general ledger.
• Monitor outstanding items and collaborate with internal teams to address financial inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing activities through account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and related schedules.
• Support analysis and reconciliations of revenue and deferred revenue.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to financial controls and approval workflows.
• Collaborate with Finance, Client Services, and Operations to comprehend business activities and their financial implications.
• Analyze contract terms and business processes to facilitate accurate billing and reporting.
• Propose enhancements to data quality, reporting, and the efficiency of financial processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related area, or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, financial operations, or a similar finance role.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to manage large data sets, investigate variances, and articulate findings.
• Proficient in Excel, with advanced skills in pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Effective communication skills, sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
• Experience in billing, receivables, reconciliations, or month-end reporting is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, reporting tools, or process improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards is preferred.
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed is preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check and, if applicable, a drug screening.
