This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Examine financial and operational data to detect trends, clarify variances, and offer actionable recommendations.
• Generate regular and on-demand reports concerning revenue, receivables, cash flow, and customer program performance.
• Create analytical tools and reporting systems to aid stakeholders in comprehending results and making informed choices.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in billing activities and investigate discrepancies until resolved.
• Reconcile balances and transactions across various reports, customer records, and the general ledger.
• Track open items and collaborate with internal partners to address financial inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
• Aid in the analysis and reconciliation of revenue and deferred revenue.
• Maintain documentation while adhering to financial controls and approval protocols.
• Collaborate with Finance, Client Services, and Operations to grasp business activities and their financial implications.
• Interpret contract terms and business processes to facilitate accurate billing and reporting.
• Recognize opportunities for enhancing data quality, reporting, and efficiency in financial processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, financial operations, or a related finance position.
• Strong analytical abilities, including proficiency in handling large datasets, probing discrepancies, and articulating findings.
• Proficient in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills, sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and capability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Preferred: background in billing, receivables, reconciliations, or month-end reporting.
• Preferred: experience with ERP systems, reporting tools, or process enhancement.
• Preferred: knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
• Preference for candidates who can type a minimum of 35 words per minute with an accuracy of 97%.
• Willingness to travel as required is preferred.
