This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as a Finance Business Partner and integral member of the leadership team for a Line of Business.
• Assist in financial operations such as planning, analysis, risk management, controls, process optimization, and enhancing business performance.
• Provide support to LOB leaders and functional managers with business plans, priorities, and forecasts.
• Develop financial processes, systems, and policies for scalability, ensuring accurate and timely data, regulatory compliance, and governance.
• Take ownership of monthly and quarterly financial reporting for the LOB.
• Guarantee that Revenue, Deferred Revenue, and WIP are verifiable and compliant with IFRS 15 at the project level.
• Oversee Sales Commissions accounting and payments.
• Manage planning and forecasting cycles, including the QSR and QBR processes.
• Track and report on Bookings, Backlog, and Book-to-Bill metrics.
• Drive financial enhancements impacting revenue, profitability, forecasting, cash flow, and operational performance.
• Ensure the accuracy of LOB Net Revenue, revenue recognition, and completeness of cost-of-sales in line with IFRS and company policies.
• Conduct reviews of professional services projects and ensure adherence to compliant percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Evaluate risk management processes, standardize policies, and enhance procedures.
• Supervise and refine financial processes and systems within the LOB.
• Provide financial insights to legal teams for vendor and customer contracts.
• Assess project bids and contract terms for compliance with corporate standards.
• Engage in or lead Finance projects aimed at implementing new systems and process enhancements.
• Support the broader Finance organization during peak periods and holiday coverage.
• Possesses an Accounting Qualification (CPA or equivalent).
• Exhibits a strong application of current technical accounting knowledge.
• Familiar with project accounting and software accounting principles.
• Capable of analyzing data, providing insightful observations, and making valuable recommendations.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to influence leadership on strategic and operational levels.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally occasionally (anticipated to be less than 10%).
• Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with the business as a partner.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and manage multiple shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working with multiple entities, countries, and currencies within a Group organization.
• Proficient in accounting/ERP software and comfortable using Microsoft Office tools.
• Must be eligible to work in the designated employment location.
• Experience in software industry-related accounting, project accounting, and M&A will be advantageous.
