This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the activities for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, which include the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

• Ensure that each financial close is delivered on time.

• Assist in the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast updates in collaboration with department leaders.

• Create and maintain financial models for pricing, project profitability, and scenario planning.

• Contribute to month-end closing activities, which encompass board reports, bank reports, and KPI management.

• Guarantee compliance with internal controls.

• Aid in the development, documentation, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.

• Provide support for ad hoc leadership analysis, including investment cases and operational deep dives.

• Maintain and enhance reporting dashboards and templates.

• Manage client communications, which include regular meetings, presentations, inquiries, follow-up projects, and client satisfaction efforts.

• Oversee project management by delegating tasks, tracking time and budgets, addressing issues, supervising team members, and delivering high-quality outputs.

• Convey actionable information to clients and stakeholders through reports, presentations, and workshops.

• Supervise QAQC processes during project execution.

• Develop expertise in climate solutions, including climate risk, adaptation strategies, decarbonization plans, and environmental attribute markets.

• Educate staff on subject matter and consulting fundamentals.

• Assist colleagues in optimizing project processes and identifying efficiencies.

• Support various project types such as life cycle assessments, supply chain engagement, feasibility studies, sustainability reporting, and renewable energy strategies.

• Lead and contribute to proposal development, including discussions with prospective clients, task and timeline scoping, budget estimation, and sales-process support.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, intellectual curiosity, accountability, and empathy.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.).

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar analytical role.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

• Adept at building and auditing financial or emissions models in Excel.

• Strong understanding of financial statements and fundamental accounting concepts.

• Proven accuracy and attention to detail in a deadline-driven setting.

• Capable of managing multiple projects at once while balancing changing priorities.

• Ability to delegate tasks effectively and share expertise to ensure the quality of deliverables.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficient in teaching others.

• Comfortable asking questions when needed.

• Strong public speaking and facilitation abilities.

• Analytical thinker and quick learner.

• Competent with both qualitative and quantitative problems, spreadsheets, approximations, and engineering assumptions.

• Passionate about assisting businesses in tackling global challenges, including climate change.

• An empathetic team player eager to contribute to an inclusive company culture.

• Interested in being part of a rapidly growing global sustainability company.

• Progress toward the CFA or a related certification is preferred.

• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system is desirable.

• Exposure to professional services, consulting, or commodities environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with BI or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

• Interest in sustainability, carbon markets, or environmental commodities is a plus.

• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
