This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +42 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to students regarding tuition payment arrangements, financial aid opportunities, and application processes.

• Work in conjunction with Admissions, Student Accounts, the Registrar, and Advising departments.

• Gather and confirm financial aid documentation in collaboration with the packaging specialist.

• Ensure the accuracy of records and perform timely data entry within university systems.

• Advise students with outstanding balances or delinquent accounts on financing options.

• Address student inquiries and follow up to guarantee resolution.

• Engage in student registration and retention initiatives.

• Remain informed about federal financial aid regulations and university policies.

• Attend training sessions and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.

• Maintain a minimum of 80% “ready time” on the inbound phone queue.


⛳️ Requirements

• An associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Title IV funds, regulations, and eligibility criteria.

• Strong communication skills via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all members of the financial aid team.

• Proficient computer skills; capable of utilizing Microsoft Office products and university systems.

• Outstanding problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.

• Must maintain good standing on all federal student loans to access NSLDS.

• Must be located in and perform work from an approved state.

• Reliable internet connection and a designated private home office or alternative workspace are required.

• Home internet minimums: 25 Mb download, 15 Mb upload, and ping rate below 60.

• Equipment must be connected to the home router via Ethernet; wireless connections are not supported.

• Availability for schedules that may include evening and/or weekend hours is essential.
