Financial Aid Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to students regarding financial aid alternatives, FAFSA stipulations, grants, scholarships, and student loans.

• Generate financial projections that include available funding, out-of-pocket expenses, and payment options.

• Reach out to students to gather necessary documents, address outstanding requirements, and adhere to deadlines.

• Examine financial aid data and maintain thorough, organized, and confidential records for each student.

• Implement financial aid regulations and institutional policies during advising sessions and documentation processes.

• Work in partnership with admissions and student services to facilitate enrollment and meet student needs.

• Deliver financial aid presentations during orientations and engage in school events.

• Assist students through phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings while managing a designated caseload.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in financial aid or finance.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and active listening skills.

• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
