Financial Administrator I, Retail Alternatives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepare intricate financial statements and associated reports for fund securities and SEC submissions, encompassing Forms N-Q, 10-K, 10-Q, N-23C-2, NSAR, N-CSR, N-CEN, N-PX, and 24f-2

• Compile quarterly reporting materials for Board Members

• Prepare and verify client accounts, financial statements, audit deliverables, accruals, tax packages, and investor reporting

• Analyze and reconcile investment activities and financial data, including cash, expenses, income, gains, and withholding

• Monitor fund performance and disseminate performance information to clients

• Train and mentor junior associates while conducting preliminary reviews

• Prepare and sustain fund budgets, including advisor reimbursements and waivers

• Calculate monthly management fees and process fund expenses, such as management and 12b-1 fees

• Ensure SEC filing results and disclosures adhere to applicable accounting standards

• Act as a primary escalation point and engage regularly with rating agencies and the Financial Administration team

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field

• Over 3 years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration

• Equivalent education and experience will be accepted

• Understanding of financial reporting and performance systems

• Familiarity with retail alternative investment products, including interval funds, tender offer funds, BDCs, REITs, and 34 Act private funds

• Knowledge of stocks, bonds, options, foreign securities, and derivatives

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat

• Creative and critical thinking abilities for problem-solving

• Skills in multitasking, analysis, and organization
