This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Update and sustain accounting records.
• Communicate with customers through phone, written correspondence, and in-person interactions.
• Organize, research, and compile documents that validate business transactions.
• Verify, categorize, and record business transactions.
• Input document details into computer systems.
• Maintain records of financial transactions.
• Reconcile and balance accounts that may be basic, intermediate, or complex based on the level of responsibility.
• Prepare financial data and reports that can be basic, intermediate, or complex, depending on the level.
• Create journal entries that may be basic or complex based on the level of responsibility.
• Review data and the work of others to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Investigate and address customer inquiries and issues.
• Protect company assets and safeguard health information.
• Mentor and provide peer review to less experienced employees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Work a full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week, plus additional hours as required.
• 1 year of experience in business (Level 1).
• 2 years of experience in business (Level 2).
• 3 years of experience in business (Level 3).
• High School Diploma or GED in a relevant field of study, or equivalent international secondary education (all levels).
• Experience with Workday Payroll.
• Proficiency in multi-state payroll processing.
• Ability to use a 10-key calculator by touch.
• Data entry speed of 8,000 keystrokes per hour.
• Basic computer skills including the use of PCs, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing applications.
• Basic proficiency in using office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, scanners, and telephones.
• Capability to understand and utilize complex spreadsheets (Level 3).
• Understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping (Level 3).
• Ability to prioritize tasks, organize work, and manage oneself effectively in a high-volume setting.
• Professional communication skills with both internal and external customers.
• Attention to detail and the ability to identify errors.
• Analytical skills to research data and propose viable solutions.
• Capability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in processes or priorities.
• Ability to mentor other employees (Levels 2 and 3).
