Finance Operations Associate – Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Take charge of daily bookkeeping and ensure ledger accuracy in Odoo by accurately coding, classifying, and mapping transactions to appropriate accounts and cost centers.

• Execute monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by handling journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and preparing supporting schedules.

• Analyze financial data to identify anomalies, trends, or control gaps before they escalate into issues.

• Serve as a primary contact for external auditors by preparing schedules, addressing inquiries, and maintaining documentation that is audit-ready.

• Collaborate with stakeholders in Commercial, Operations, and Procurement to address financial queries and ensure that accounting practices accurately reflect business realities.

• Enhance and maintain Odoo-based accounting workflows by identifying automation opportunities and strengthening controls.

• Assist the Senior Accountant with financial reporting, ad hoc analysis, and process documentation.

• Ensure adherence to internal policies and relevant local regulatory and tax obligations, including ZATCA and VAT.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or audit; a background in audit/assurance is a significant advantage.

• Excellent analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Practical experience with Odoo or a comparable ERP, along with an understanding of the underlying accounting principles.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities and clear, confident communication skills with internal teams, auditors, banks, and vendors.

• Solid understanding of IFRS and practical experience with month-end closing procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• A self-motivated individual who takes initiative, works efficiently, and upholds a high standard of accuracy.
