Finance Manager, Site Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture the Site Liaison Finance team through guidance, coaching, workload allocation, and supervision.

• Act as a hands-on manager by preparing journal entries and evaluating the team's work.

• Manage the accounting and financial oversight of the overhead ledger.

• Supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

• Evaluate journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet activities, financial outcomes, and supporting documents.

• Conduct and oversee P&L and balance sheet analysis while investigating discrepancies.

• Ensure that internal controls and accounting procedures promote accurate and compliant reporting.

• Collaborate with Finance leadership, Technical Accounting, operations, and stakeholders to address complex accounting issues.

• Propel improvements and standardization in accounting processes.

• Provide leadership and accounting expertise within a shared-services framework.

• Set team expectations and accountability while facilitating close and reporting deadlines.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and other financial reporting tasks.

• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance while fulfilling other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

• 5–7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including notable accounting leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

• Recent experience in roles such as Controller, Assistant Controller, Finance Director, Assistant CFO, or equivalent healthcare finance leadership position is highly preferred.

• Proven healthcare accounting experience; hospital or health system familiarity is strongly preferred.

• Robust expertise in general ledger and month-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, balance sheet management, financial analysis, and internal controls.

• Capability and readiness to function as a working manager while leading and developing a team.

• Prior experience in managing, coaching, and evaluating accounting professionals.

• Experience in a shared services or centralized finance environment is preferred.

• Behavioral health accounting or finance experience is desirable.

• Ability to analyze intricate financial activities, pinpoint issues, and facilitate timely resolutions.

• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and governance of accounting processes.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with senior Finance and operational leaders.

• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Oracle, EPM, or similar enterprise financial systems is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
