Finance Manager – Controlling & Inventory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Act as the finance representative in cross-functional discussions related to Controlling & Inventory, with a focus on MAKE and R&D.

• Assist the Controlling & Inventory Finance Lead in the global finance transformation initiative, which includes ERP/S4Hana design, construction, and implementation.

• Work collaboratively with Global Process Owners, Technical Product Owners, System Integrators, and transformational programs to gather and articulate business requirements.

• Oversee interdependencies with other transformational initiatives such as Signifi/Transact.

• Ensure the Global Template is developed and structured to fulfill business needs using existing technology capabilities.

• Document the future-state design as part of the Global Template development.

• Aid TPO and System Integrator teams in constructing the proposed design in S4/Hana.

• Take part in build demonstrations, review outputs, and offer constructive feedback.

• Ensure that business requirements are fulfilled throughout the building process.

• Collaborate with the Master Data team to confirm data setup for Controlling & Inventory processes.

• Verify that development-system processes align with business requirements and provide insights to TPO and System Integrator teams.

• Support deployment teams during testing periods and hypercare phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a university degree is necessary, ideally in Finance or Economics.

• At least 5 years of experience in Finance roles is essential, preferably in supply chain, a principal company setting, and/or R&D.

• Experience with Costing, Inventory & Plant Accounting in a Supply Chain or R&D role is considered beneficial.

• Proficiency in process development and enhancement.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to maintain a broad perspective while paying attention to detail.

• A keen interest in acquiring expertise in complex financial topics.

• An agile mindset is required.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues.

• A collaborative team player with a cooperative working style.

• Experience in global/virtual working environments is an advantage.

• Capability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced, and frequently evolving environment.

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and challenge effectively.

• A passion for driving change and encouraging business acceptance of new processes and technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of the SAP ERP platform.

• Project management experience is advantageous.

• Familiarity with digital tools such as PowerQuery and PowerBI is a plus.
