This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate the financial operations of the organization by managing transaction processing, payroll administration, accounts payable assistance, cash receipts documentation, and the upkeep of thorough financial records.
• Report directly to the Finance Officer and collaborate closely with internal team members, vendors, payroll providers, and various external partners.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions within the accounting system.
• Prepare and record journal entries and allocations to ensure precise financial reporting.
• Maintain comprehensive, organized, and current financial records along with supporting documentation.
• Assist in routine accounting processes and uphold general ledger accuracy.
• Accurately process payroll in a timely manner.
• Keep payroll records updated and assist with payroll reconciliations.
• Address any payroll-related inquiries or discrepancies.
• Manage grants payable and accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely and precise payments.
• Establish and maintain vendor accounts along with payment details.
• Review and process credit card expense reports.
• Organize documentation for payables and employee expense reimbursements.
• Provide training for staff and vendors on finance systems.
• Review and post donations, cash receipts, and other incoming funds.
• Ensure receipts are properly coded and fully documented.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Resolve any discrepancies related to cash receipts or revenue entries as necessary.
• Assist in bank and account reconciliations as well as month-end closing processes.
• Support the Finance Officer in maintaining internal controls and consistent financial procedures.
• Prepare documentation and schedules for audits, reporting, and financial reviews.
• Identify opportunities for workflow enhancements in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
• Work part-time for Rural Victory Fund under a resource-sharing agreement, with responsibilities overseen by Sixteen Thirty Fund.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Capability to manage monthly accounting tasks effectively.
• Ability to maintain accuracy across various processes.
• Support timely financial reporting and operational effectiveness.
• Foster a collaborative working environment.
• Skill in managing priorities and deadlines in a remote work setting.
• Experience or capability to accurately and promptly record financial transactions in an accounting system.
• Proficient in preparing and posting journal entries and allocations.
• Maintain complete, organized, and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.
• Ability to process payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain payroll-related records and supporting documentation effectively.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and resolve any payroll-related inquiries or discrepancies.
• Competency in processing grants payable and accounts payable invoices.
• Set up and maintain vendor accounts and payment details proficiently.
• Review and process credit card expense reports in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Post donations, cash receipts, and other incoming funds with appropriate coding and complete documentation.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Assist with bank and account reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare documentation and schedules that support audits and reporting requests.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
