Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in managing accounting operations, encompassing billing, tax documentation, and financial closing.

• Oversee month-end closing tasks, including journal entries, invoices, and account reconciliations.

• Supervise invoicing and billing processes for SaaS, services, renewals, and revenue-sharing.

• Prepare revenue entries in accordance with ASC 606 and manage deferred revenue and unbilled accounts receivable.

• Execute revenue accounting for services, including the Fixed Fee Report.

• Confirm the delivery of invoices and conduct analysis of Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) fluctuations.

• Handle intercompany billing, reconciliations, and settlements.

• Assemble the month-end reporting package and conduct final checks and balances.

• Aid in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, annual audits, and management reports.

• Assist with cash forecasting and the review and approval of journal entries.

• Contribute to the development of internal controls, accounting policies, and process enhancements.

• Detect and rectify accounting discrepancies or account imbalances.

• Perform additional accounting and finance tasks as necessary.

• Collaborate closely with the Finance team and other departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.

• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and financial processes, including closing, billing, budgeting, and reporting.

• Experience with ASC 606 and revenue accounting for SaaS or services.

• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.

• Outstanding organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Keen attention to detail and capability to meet deadlines.

• Must possess legal authorization for employment without the need for visa sponsorship.

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA or another recognized professional accounting certification is advantageous.
