Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of financial reporting for a portfolio comprising group companies, which includes monthly closings, IFRS financial statements, and management commentary.

• Assist in group consolidation across various entities and currencies, ensuring compliance with audit-ready standards.

• Manage year-end audits for designated entities from start to finish, encompassing planning, maintaining auditor relationships, and resolving technical accounting inquiries.

• Rotate through different entities and engage in special projects such as funding transactions, entering new markets, and drafting technical accounting documents.

• Report directly to the CFO and board members.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Commercial Finance, Head of Group Financial Reporting, and Group Financial Controller.

• Provide concise written reporting to brief executives effectively.

• Work remotely with global teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a chartered accountant qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).

• Significant post-qualification experience within a leading Big 4 firm or as a financial reporting specialist in the industry.

• Practical experience in preparing IFRS financial statements.

• Experience in group consolidations involving multiple entities and currencies.

• Demonstrated success in managing audits and seeing them through from beginning to end.

• Capability to work remotely with international teams.

• Proficiency in writing clearly enough to provide briefs to executives without requiring extensive guidance.
