Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main liaison for regional operational performance.

• Formulate solutions and strategies for complex or distinctive situations.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor and control expenditures for significant startup and capital initiatives.

• Coordinate with executives and teams to collect necessary data from various sources.

• Utilize Oracle Projects to improve reporting functionalities.

• Employ operational and financial KPIs to oversee project expenditures.

• Manage the full lifecycle of project reporting, from creation requests to closures.

• Create and present standard reports for vertical leaders using Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle ERP, and Oracle ePBCS.

• Ensure that profitability objectives are achieved.

• Assess potential returns on invested capital for proposed initiatives.

• Transform pricing models into operational forecasts, targets, and budgets.

• Supervise the expenditure authority process.

• Develop KPI templates and deliverables.

• Create methods for monitoring performance against initial assumptions.

• Establish detective controls and predictive indicators.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work or military experience.

• 5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial/strategic planning, accounting, and/or budgeting.

• Strong working knowledge of Oracle Projects.

• Experience in evaluating internal control systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical software.

• Capable of performing database collection, using software programs to gather data for modeling, and making meaningful use of the data.

• Master’s degree and/or CPA certification is preferred.

• Background in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or distribution is preferred.

• 3 years of project management experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with operations, marketing, sales, pricing, project management, human resources, and IT.

• Comprehensive knowledge of financial monitoring and control, as well as general ledger and accounts payable processes and procedures.

• Proven ability to develop and prepare capital and operating budgets.

• Skilled in monitoring budgets, identifying problem areas, and making suitable recommendations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to present clear, organized, and comprehensive information and data suitable for the intended audience.
