Finance Director – CFO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Assist the CEO in managing financial operations, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Track performance against KPIs and deliver actionable insights to guide strategic decisions and drive business growth.

• Develop financial models for business cases, new market ventures, and commercial agreements, focusing on margins and profitability drivers.

• Supervise accounting, treasury, and payment operations, including liquidity management, foreign exchange exposure, settlements, and receivables across various currencies and regions.

• Ensure adherence to international accounting standards, tax laws, and legal requirements, collaborating with auditors and external advisors.

• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Routing, HR, Legal, and Compliance to assess financial risks, enhance profitability, boost operational efficiency, and support commercial initiatives.

• Build and continually enhance the finance function, including processes, controls, systems, and team development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior capacity (Finance Director, Head of Finance, CFO, or similar).

• Entrepreneurial experience: familiarity with scale-ups or founder-led businesses, managing your own enterprise, owning a P&L, or establishing a finance function from the ground up.

• Strong understanding of IFRS and international taxation.

• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, and cross-border operations.

• Proficient financial modeling and analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present financial information clearly, simplify complex topics, and tailor messages for various audiences.

• Ownership mentality: adaptable to fast-paced environments and ambiguity, hands-on, and confident in challenging decisions with data.

• Russian: native or fluent (required).

• English: C1 level or higher (required).

• Experience in telecom, payments, fintech, or other high-volume transactional sectors is advantageous.

• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, including crypto payments, treasury, or accounting, is a plus.
