This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of financial analysis and forecasting for the portfolio.
• Propel EBITDA growth initiatives and oversee cash flow for over 20 child care facilities.
• Assist in acquisition decisions and manage the outsourced accounting team located in India.
• Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting for 20+ locations, including consolidated and site-specific P&L analysis.
• Identify variances, trends, and root causes, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards.
• Spearhead pricing, labor efficiency, vendor, and cost-management initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations and center leadership to enhance margins.
• Benchmark center performance against both portfolio and industry standards.
• Take charge of rolling cash flow forecasting, monitoring working capital, AR/AP, and compliance with debt covenants.
• Support banking relationships, manage loan draws, and facilitate lender reporting.
• Conduct financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets.
• Create acquisition and integration models that encompass valuation, pro forma P&L, synergies, and payback periods.
• Present recommendations for acquisition decisions to ownership and leadership.
• Supervise the outsourced accounting/bookkeeping team in India.
• Establish and enforce monthly closing calendars and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Review accounting outputs, train and guide the offshore team, and enhance processes.
• Convert financial data into actionable insights for Center Directors, franchisees, and field leaders.
• Develop financial literacy tools and lead regular finance review meetings.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, statutory regulations, and tax obligations.
• Establish internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; MBA is highly preferred.
• Over 8 years of progressive finance experience, including a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior finance position.
• Proven experience as a Finance Director, Controller, or Senior Financial Manager in a competitive, for-profit market.
• Experience supporting a multi-unit, multi-location business with revenues exceeding $50M and 20+ operational sites.
• Demonstrated experience in managing an outsourced, offshore, or shared-services accounting function.
• Hands-on expertise in M&A activities: financial due diligence, valuation, and integration post-acquisition.
• Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with accounting/ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.
• Experience with business intelligence or dashboarding tools.
• Proven track record of driving quantifiable EBITDA or margin improvements.
• Experience in franchise operations, private-equity-backed businesses, or the education/childcare sector is a significant advantage.
• Capability to ensure compliance with GAAP, statutory requirements, and local/corporate tax laws.
• Ability to establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls effectively.
• Skill in evaluating and mitigating corporate financial risks, managing commercial insurance policies, and credit lines.
