This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
β’ Act as the primary financial and accounting representative for Business Unit Executives, Product Line owners, and Corporate.
β’ Serve as a consultant and strategic partner regarding financial, operational, and client-related issues.
β’ Oversee financial processes, which include generating monthly and quarterly financial variance reports, annual planning, and monthly reforecasting.
β’ Convert intricate financial performance data into executive-level analysis and dashboards for the CAO, CFO, and Corporate stakeholders.
β’ Lead initiatives for process enhancements and system implementations to improve financial planning capabilities.
β’ Design, implement, maintain, and document internal controls, policies, and procedures.
β’ Manage the monthly financial reporting package and offer proactive support for decision-making.
β’ Direct the FP&A team management and staff development, including succession and growth strategies.
β’ Report to the Senior Finance Director and collaborate with senior business leaders to enhance financial performance and strategic decision-making.
β’ Act as a principal financial advisor to Business Unit Executives and Product Line owners.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
β’ At least 10 years of progressive finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in FP&A roles, encompassing forecasting, variance analysis, and business partnership.
β’ Five years of direct management/supervisory experience, including staff training and evaluation.
β’ Strong accounting skills with a proven track record of consistency in values, principles, and work ethic.
β’ Proficient in computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
β’ Exceptional ability to articulate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and influence executive-level decision-making.
β’ Commitment to understanding and enhancing client service.
β’ CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
β’ Background in audit and internal controls is preferred.
β’ Proven experience in successfully leading teams through organizational changes, system implementations, or business transformations is preferred.
β’ Proficient in computer-based accounting applications; experience with JD Edwards platforms is a plus.
β’ Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination abilities.
β’ Excellent presentation skills for both internal and external audiences.
