Finance Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee accounts to pinpoint outstanding debts

• Examine and reconcile client information

• Locate and reach out to clients regarding their payments

• Implement actions to promote timely debt repayments

• Handle payments and refunds

• Address billing and customer payment concerns

• Update account records and collection initiatives

• Provide reports on collection activities and accounts receivable status

• Make calls to request payment dates for invoices overdue by more than 60 days

• Escalate overdue balances to the AR Senior Manager and Partner

• Follow up with colleagues for information clients require to process payments

• Deliver customer service concerning collection matters

• Process and review adjustments to accounts

• Resolve discrepancies in invoices

• Minimize delinquency of assigned accounts

• Communicate with Treasury management regarding customer accounts

• Cultivate relationships with partners and clients to ensure prompt payments

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification

• Over 5 years of experience in billing or collections

• Demonstrated experience as a Collection Specialist

• Understanding of billing processes and collection methodologies

• Knowledge of regulations related to debt collection

• Proficient in SAP

• Familiarity with High Radius is advantageous

• Advanced Excel capabilities (including formulas and pivot tables)

• Proficient in MS Office and database management

• Comfortable working towards targets

• Possess patience and the ability to handle stress

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficient in negotiation techniques

• Strong problem-solving abilities
