This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Manage bank accounts and handle payments to vendors, projects, intercompany transactions, payroll, and reimbursements.
• Supervise liquidity management and monitor reserve balances, including cash flow tracking and forecasting.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with banking partners, auditors, and tax consultants.
• Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts for management, the parent company, and governing authorities.
• Oversee accounting operations and manage both day-to-day and period-end closing activities with a third-party accounting firm.
• Develop and implement finance and accounting procedures and controls, including the capitalization of project expenses.
• Lead collaborative efforts within the finance department and coordinate with the parent company, including consolidation processes.
• Prepare annual tax submissions and ensure adherence to relevant accounting and tax regulations.
• Assist in the annual external audit process and address auditor inquiries.
• Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances to ensure accurate consolidation.
• Protect and enhance the financial integrity of WaterConnect, a company focused on water supply and sanitation infrastructure project development and investment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance positions, including treasury, financial reporting, and the accounting closing process.
• Possession of a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CA, ACCA) or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP and/or IFRS, with experience in multi-entity or parent-subsidiary consolidation.
• Proven experience in managing banking relationships, treasury operations, and liquidity or cash management.
• Familiarity with working alongside external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies; understanding of international tax compliance issues.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and enforce effective accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Proficient in accounting software or ERP systems, along with advanced Excel capabilities.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adept at working within a small, virtual team in a hands-on capacity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global, multicultural teams.
