This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Conduct audits of current Figma files, libraries, components, and their utilization.
• Evaluate the quality, scalability, and adoption of design systems.
• Detect and merge duplicate or inconsistent components.
• Enhance component architecture, naming conventions, and organization of libraries.
• Expand libraries by adding components, patterns, and templates.
• Establish design tokens, Figma variables, governance, contribution, and release procedures.
• Assist in library migration and rationalization efforts.
• Align Figma assets with front-end component frameworks and Storybook where appropriate.
• Create new Figma libraries and design systems from the ground up.
• Define the structure of libraries, information architecture, foundational styles, tokens, and variable collections.
• Develop scalable components using Auto Layout, variants, properties, and nested components.
• Create responsive layout systems, templates, sections, and page patterns.
• Integrate accessibility and WCAG requirements into component designs.
• Document systems and facilitate their adoption among designers and developers.
• Mentor designers in advanced Figma and design system methodologies.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure design-to-code alignment.
• Participate in estimation, planning, and pre-sales activities.
• Work on various client projects and brands.
• Produce audits, component libraries, governance frameworks, documentation, adoption roadmaps, and team training materials.
• Candidate must be based in the Philippines.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in UI, UX, or Product Design.
• Proven experience in creating and managing enterprise design systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma.
• Advanced understanding of components and nested components.
• Advanced expertise in variants and component properties.
• Advanced knowledge of Auto Layout.
• Advanced understanding of variables and design tokens.
• Advanced knowledge of responsive component behavior.
• Advanced expertise in library publishing and version control.
• Demonstrated experience in improving and scaling existing design systems.
• Proven experience in building design systems and component libraries from the ground up.
• Strong comprehension of UI architecture, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Experience in producing documentation, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to work independently across various client engagements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Must disclose any current ongoing roles or client commitments.
• Must represent this engagement on LinkedIn, clearly identified as “Independent Contractor.”
