Field/Application Engineer – Robotics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Install and set up robotics systems directly at client locations

• Assist with commissioning, go-live, and initial production rollouts

• Perform customer training sessions and handovers to operational teams

• Record configurations, technical parameters, and any unresolved issues

• Analyze and address technical challenges during ongoing operations

• Provide continuous support and aid with maintenance and service-related tasks

• Diagnose hardware, interface, and system-related problems

• Develop team expertise to lessen dependence on supplier support

• Raise technical issues with vendors and internal teams

• Offer field feedback to enhance deployment and support procedures

• Contribute to the creation of standards, checklists, and best practices for customer projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical background in mechatronics, electronics, automation, or a similar field

• Practical experience with hardware systems, technical installations, or field service roles

• Experience in installing or servicing technical systems

• Proficiency in German and basic knowledge of English

• Willingness to travel within the DACH region

• Strong problem-solving abilities and demonstrated troubleshooting skills

• Practical, reliable, and organized approach to work

• Strong customer orientation and clear communication in technical contexts

• A sense of responsibility and commitment to resolving issues

• Nice to have: Experience with robotics, AGVs, AMRs, or industrial automation

• Nice to have: Basic understanding of networking or IT
