Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical representative and ambassador for Formlabs in the UK & Ireland region.

• Visit customer locations to unpack, set up, commission, and calibrate new 3D printing systems.

• Provide structured on-site training for users on machine operation, software functionality, and basic maintenance procedures.

• Conduct live demonstrations of products.

• Quickly respond to customer downtime and carry out urgent repairs.

• Perform annual preventative maintenance visits within a 90-day target timeline.

• Identify electromechanical issues and achieve resolutions in a single visit.

• Manage a high volume of field activities.

• Independently handle bookings for flights, trains, hotels, rental cars, and expenses.

• Keep accurate records of installations, training sessions, and repairs in Salesforce.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally located in London, Manchester, or Dublin due to connectivity.

• Must be willing to travel over 80% of the time.

• Strong technical expertise in electromechanical systems and hardware.

• Possess soft skills necessary to effectively teach others how to utilize the technology.

• Proficient in English (C1-C2 level).

• Valid driver's license (B) is a must.

• Proficiency in German or French is advantageous.

• A passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies is a plus.

• Experience in fast-paced startup environments is beneficial.
