Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance to address network performance challenges and aid in outage resolutions.

• Oversee smaller projects or segments of larger projects, ensuring accurate reporting on status and progress.

• Suggest maintenance and repair process enhancements to senior personnel and management.

• Collaborate with senior technicians to create job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documents.

• Complete necessary training to stay updated on systems, products, and organizational standards.

• Enhance and sustain network performance and reliability.

• Assist in the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of RAN activities.

• Diagnose equipment and network issues in both planned and emergency situations.

• Execute disaster recovery protocols and contingency plans.

• Carry out additional duties and projects as assigned by business management.

• Operate independently across various sites in the Tulsa market while collaborating with colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience considered equivalent (Required).

• Preferred fields of study include Vocational/Technical Training or a related discipline.

• 2-4 years of experience in Field Operations and maintenance.

• 2-4 years of experience in wireless telecommunications or similar fields.

• Basic understanding of electronics and interconnecting circuits, including RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio, AC-DC power systems, and AI.

• Required practical knowledge of Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture, components, and operations.

• Familiarity with Nokia RAN technology is advantageous.

• Required comprehension of wireless backhaul technologies and configurations, including microwave and fiber-based solutions.

• Licensed in microwave and millimeter-wave wireless transport technology; experience with Ceragon and Ericsson is a plus.

• Experience with or willingness to learn about RAN equipment and 5G NR standards (Required).

• Required working knowledge of base station equipment, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

• Commitment to ongoing training, certifications, and hands-on skill development (Required).

• Required familiarity with disaster recovery protocols and contingency plans.

• Required capability for network troubleshooting across hardware and software systems.

• Required project management skills for field assignments.

• Required hands-on technical support ability for internal teams and partners.

• Required attention to detail.

• Required problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Required proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and similar productivity tools, along with an understanding of Internet Protocol and a willingness to utilize AI-driven tools.

• Preferred ability to operate fiber test, line, and antenna test equipment.

• Required flexibility in work hours, including day and night shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation.

• Required physical ability to lift 50–70 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Must be at least 21 years old to drive a company-assigned vehicle.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Willingness to travel within the market.

• This is a DOT-regulated position.
