This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Diagnose and repair assigned products across various service territories through ongoing travel.
• Execute preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades in accordance with training, manuals, and Carl Zeiss Meditec standards.
• Schedule, create, confirm, and adjust customer visits over broad geographic areas.
• Evaluate customers' requirements, including potential financial implications for practices and patients' welfare.
• Complete and submit daily field service reports from customer sites.
• Complete and submit weekly travel expense reports.
• Manage and transport spare parts inventory while on the road.
• Foster revenue growth by promoting and retaining service agreements.
• Interact professionally with customers across various geographic locations and regional business cultures.
• Educate customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Engage in continuous travel by car and air across assigned territories and internationally.
• Assist with training, meetings, exhibit activities, and coverage across multiple territories.
• Take responsibility for company-issued property, including inventory, tools, diagnostic equipment, and vehicle.
• Collaborate with teams, customers, management, Sales, and Technical Support while working from customer locations.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics, or Medical Field Service with proven travel experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently while traveling 100% of the time.
• Capability to navigate challenging customer issues and achieve satisfactory outcomes independently in remote locations.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal management oversight across different time zones and geographic areas.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer proficiency and adeptness with mobile technology and remote access systems.
• Must pass required training to service fine mechanics and optics.
• Ability to effectively service equipment while consistently traveling.
• Advanced project management and time management skills.
• Valid passport required for international travel.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with an exemplary driving record.
• Must be able to secure sufficient credit to cover significant incurred business expenses.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• A BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology and related fields is preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certifications are preferred.
• Must be comfortable with extended periods away from home and various accommodations and working conditions.
• Must maintain flexibility for weekend and holiday travel.
• Monthly travel stipend of $430.00.
