Field Service Technician – Travel-Based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Commission CV Technology systems designed for explosion mitigation.

• Validate the operational efficiency of CV Technology protection systems.

• Conduct familiarization training sessions for plant personnel.

• Deliver exceptional service to clients.

• Provide emergency support when systems are triggered.

• Prepare written reports for commissioning, maintenance, and emergency service visits.

• Submit personal expenses and arrange travel accommodations.

• Provide quotes for spare parts and/or services.

• Travel approximately 60% to customer sites for system startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Assist customers nationwide as part of the Service team.

⛳️ Requirements

• The position involves 60% travel to customer locations across North America, typically 2-3 days per week.

• Preference for candidates with instrumentation and controls experience.

• Field service or mechanical experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with electrical systems, controls, and low voltage wiring is advantageous.

• 1-2 years of experience in a high-travel role is highly preferred.

• Strong customer relations skills and a customer-centric approach are essential.

• Effective communication skills are required.

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, expense reporting, and travel booking are necessary.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Must be able to lift and carry a 50-pound load for a distance of 20 feet.

• Capability to safely work indoors or outdoors at elevated heights using ladders, man-lifts, or platforms.

• Ability to safely climb a 25-foot ladder.

• Must be able to work and/or stand on one's feet for prolonged periods.

• Ability to function safely in an industrial environment with manufacturing conditions.

• Must implement safety measures during adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, and high winds.

• Previous technical experience is beneficial but not mandatory; military, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, or inspection experience is encouraged.
