Field Service Technician – Laser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete equipment installation process at client locations.

• Utilize hand tools and engage in climbing, bending, stooping, and lifting activities.

• Diagnose and rectify issues in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, electrical, control, and network systems.

• Prepare daily status and service reports.

• Submit weekly expense reports.

• Operate software applications and perform part programming tasks.

• Employ Amada applications software for line control and part programming functions.

• Educate customers on the operation of equipment, applications, software, and part programming.

• Travel frequently within designated territories.

• Report directly to the Regional Service Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.

• Capable of accurately following layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.

• Proficient in communicating in the English language.

• Strong customer relations skills and ability to follow through.

• Knowledge of operations, applications, software, and part programming.

• Experience with Amada applications software for line control and part programming.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• A 4-year degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2-year degree with relevant work experience is preferred.

• Competence in analyzing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.

• Proficient in using hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, and oscilloscope.

• Familiarity with computers and Windows operating system.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.

• Capability to provide service and support throughout the customer’s ownership of the machine.

• Routine travel within assigned territories, with occasional overnight stays.

• Based in the Dallas Fort Worth, TX territory.
