Field Service Technician – Laser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive equipment installation process at customer locations

• Utilize hand tools and engage in climbing, bending, and stooping during installation tasks

• Operate software applications and perform part programming

• Educate customers on the operation of equipment, applications, software, and part programming

• Prepare daily status and service reports

• Submit weekly expense reports

• Travel frequently within designated territories

• Report directly to the Regional Service Manager

⛳️ Requirements

• Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks

• Capable of accurately following layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation

• Proficient in English communication

• Strong customer relations skills and commitment to follow-through

• Competence in operation, applications, software, and part programming

• Familiarity with Amada applications software related to line control and part programming

• Willingness to travel regularly within assigned areas

• Ability to lift weights of up to 50 lbs.

• A 4-year degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2-year degree along with relevant work experience is preferred

• Capability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems

• Proficient in using hand tools, a Volt/Ohm meter, and an oscilloscope

• Basic knowledge of computers and the Windows operating system

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics

• Competent in servicing and supporting customers throughout all stages of machine ownership

• Regular travel within Northern California and Northern Nevada, including occasional overnight stays
