This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with Roadway Work Equipment for clients.
• Provide training to customers on both new and existing machinery.
• Commission new machines at customer locations.
• Showcase new equipment at customer sites.
• Repair current equipment at customer locations.
• Execute service, maintenance, and repairs to ensure equipment functionality.
• Suggest repair parts and enhancements to products for clients.
• Guide customers on appropriate equipment upkeep and usage.
• Compile weekly travel expense reports and field documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and/or production teams to address issues with new machines.
• Participate in ongoing enhancements of equipment and processes.
• Operate independently while establishing strong relationships with customers.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.
• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic for industrial or mobile heavy equipment.
• Strong preference for training in PLC and/or CanBus systems troubleshooting.
• General mechanical expertise.
• Comprehensive understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Capability to interpret schematics, technical documents, business materials, and professional publications.
• Previous experience in the railroad industry is advantageous.
• Proficient in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
• Mechanical proficiency.
• Ability to understand written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Aptitude for solving practical problems and addressing various variables in diverse scenarios.
• Competence in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Skill in presenting information and addressing inquiries from managers, customers, suppliers, and the public.
• Ability to engage with a variety of personalities and foster strong customer relations.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Successful completion of a drug screening and fitness-for-duty assessment, as necessary.
• Willingness to travel 70%-80% of the time.
• Capability to work near moving mechanical components and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• Ability to function in noisy environments and extreme temperatures.
• Willingness to travel to remote job locations.
• Capability to stand, climb, walk unassisted, sit, reach, and use hands to operate tools or controls.
• Adeptness in close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
