This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with Roadway Work Equipment for clients.
• Educate customers on both new and existing machinery.
• Commission new machines, including on-site training and demonstrations for clients.
• Conduct repairs on existing equipment at customer locations.
• Execute service, maintenance, and repair tasks to restore equipment functionality.
• Suggest repair parts and enhancements to products for customers.
• Guide and instruct customers on the proper upkeep and operation of Nordco equipment.
• Compile weekly travel expense reports and field documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address issues with new machines.
• Participate in the ongoing enhancement of equipment and procedures.
• Travel to remote job sites as needed.
• Work autonomously while building effective relationships with customers.
• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic for industrial or mobile heavy equipment.
• Strongly preferred: Training in PLC and/or CanBus systems troubleshooting.
• General mechanical experience is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Capability to read schematics effectively.
• Previous experience in the railroad industry is a plus.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret instructions presented in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Skill in solving practical problems and adapting to varying situations.
• Competence in reading and interpreting business documents, technical procedures, schematics, governmental regulations, and professional literature.
• Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and address inquiries.
• Capacity to thrive in an environment with diverse personalities and foster strong customer relationships.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Successful completion of drug screening and fitness-for-duty assessments, as necessary.
• Willingness to travel 70%-80% of the time.
