Field Service Engineer – Breda/Eindhoven Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, validation, and commissioning of Automatic Packaging Solutions Systems at client sites.

• Carry out designated service and installation tasks for assigned clients.

• Assist in the management of customer installation projects.

• Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, servicing, repairs, upgrades, and modifications.

• Deliver training to customers regarding product functionalities, features, and general upkeep.

• Organize tasks at customer job locations.

• Diagnose issues with the aid of technical drawings and documentation.

• Execute routine maintenance and emergency service interventions.

• Address requests and manage issues effectively.

• Supervise spare parts for end customers.

• Remain updated on industry and market developments.

• Fulfill documentation, reporting, administrative duties, emails, expense forms, travel arrangements, and technical reports.

• Maintain responsive communication with company and client personnel.

• Comply with company and local customer safety protocols and requirements.

• Work towards achieving established performance KPIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/technical education OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical or mechanical equipment.

• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach.

• Proficient in the use of mechanical and electrical hand tools; capable of interpreting technical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Detail-oriented and resilient under pressure.

• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

• Adaptable and flexible in response to change.

• Comfortable working independently, effectively managing your own schedule with minimal oversight.

• Customer service-focused with the capability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.

• Innovative and confident in decision-making with a hands-on approach.

• Positive demeanor and quick learner in a rapidly growing environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with reporting tools or service software is an advantage.

• Fluent in English and the local language (both spoken and written).

• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.

• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods.

• Frequent international travel is required.

• Anticipated overnight travel: 50-70%.

• Willingness to travel and work consignment shifts, including weekends.

• Prior experience as a Resident Engineer or in a customer-facing field service role.

• Ability to communicate in Dutch (spoken and written).

• Familiarity with automated packaging systems or industrial automation equipment.

• Basic understanding of PLC systems and industrial sensors.

• Experience with technical documentation, reporting, or digital service tools.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Preferred: 5+ years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical systems.
