This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate directly with customers and sales teams to ensure that machines fulfill customer expectations.
• Diagnose issues with roadway work equipment.
• Provide training for customers on both new and existing equipment.
• Commission new machines, which includes training and demonstrating equipment at customer locations.
• Conduct repairs on existing equipment at customer sites.
• Execute service, maintenance, and repair tasks to restore equipment to optimal functioning.
• Suggest repair parts and product enhancements to clients.
• Guide and educate customers on the proper maintenance and operation of Nordco equipment.
• Compile weekly travel expense reports and field documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and/or production teams to address issues with new machines.
• Participate in the ongoing improvement of equipment and processes.
• Travel to remote job sites as required.
• Work autonomously while establishing effective relationships with customers.
• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience as an industrial or mobile heavy equipment mechanic.
• Training in troubleshooting PLC and/or CanBus systems is highly preferred.
• General mechanical expertise.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in reading schematics.
• Previous experience in the railroad industry is an advantage.
• Capable of diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Skilled in solving practical problems and managing variables in various situations.
• Competent in reading and interpreting business documents, technical manuals, schematics, government regulations, and professional literature.
• Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Capable of effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries.
• Able to thrive in an environment with diverse personalities and cultivate strong customer relationships.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Willingness to travel 70%-80% of the time.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
