This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
• Collaborate closely with customers and Sales teams to ensure machines fulfill customer requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with Roadway Work Equipment.
• Provide training to customers on both new and existing equipment.
• Commission new machines, including training and demonstrating equipment at customer locations.
• Perform repairs on existing equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct service, maintenance, and repairs to restore equipment functionality.
• Suggest repair parts and product enhancements to customers.
• Guide and instruct customers on the proper maintenance and operation of Nordco equipment.
• Compile weekly travel expense reports and field documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and/or production teams to address issues with new machines.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of equipment and processes.
• Travel to remote job locations as required.
• Operate independently while fostering effective relationships with customers.
• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience as an industrial or mobile heavy equipment mechanic.
• Strong preference for training in PLC and/or CanBus systems troubleshooting.
• General mechanical experience is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in reading schematics.
• Previous experience in the railroad industry is an advantage.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues effectively.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Capable of interpreting written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Ability to solve practical problems and manage variables in various situations.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting business documents, technical procedures, schematics, governmental regulations, and professional journals.
• Competent in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and address inquiries.
• Skilled in working within diverse teams and building strong customer relationships.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to travel 70%-80% of the time.
