Field Service Technician – Laboratory Equipment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventative maintenance and basic servicing of Metrohm laboratory instruments at customer locations.

• Diagnose and resolve instrumentation issues as required.

• Offer technical support to clients through in-person interactions, phone calls, emails, and Microsoft Teams.

• Record service activities and maintain accurate service documentation.

• Foster and sustain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Organize and prioritize service requests across a vast geographic area.

• Participate in training programs at Metrohm USA headquarters located in Tampa, Florida.

• Travel frequently within the designated southern California region, including overnight trips approximately 40% of the time.

• Occasionally travel outside the assigned territory to assist customers and colleagues in other areas.

• Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.

• Capability to test, diagnose, and repair technical equipment.

• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with internal teams.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related STEM field is preferred.

• Laboratory experience, including knowledge of laboratory equipment and practices, is preferred.

• Prior experience in technical service, maintenance, or field service is preferred.

• Experience with work-related travel is preferred.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

• Verification of employment and education credentials.
