Field Service Technician – Installation & Repair – Windows and Doors

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Execute advanced diagnostics, repairs, and installations of windows and doors.

• Utilize knowledge from Field Service Technician 1, encompassing basic repairs, inspections, adherence to safety protocols, inventory management, vehicle operation, and customer service.

• Identify issues within window and door systems and deliver technical support via phone and email.

• Perform water tests in accordance with company guidelines and record findings using internal software.

• Assess and assist field projects by applying window and door installation techniques.

• Organize and coordinate assignments that require the collaboration of two or more technicians.

• Address escalated warranty or service issues while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Carry out specialized repairs, including solutions for water intrusion, shaped products, and diagnostic installations.

• Provide support to customers and sales teams through effective communication, precise documentation, and reliable service.

• Travel daily within the designated territory, with the possibility of overnight trips.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to successfully pass an MVR check.

• Expertise in using hand and power tools.

• Capability to execute advanced diagnostics, repairs, and thorough documentation.

• In-depth knowledge of installation practices for windows and doors.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills to manage jobs involving multiple technicians.

• Superior customer service and escalation management capabilities.

• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs consistently, climb ladders, and work at elevated heights.

• Preferred: 3–5 years of general construction or building material installation experience.

• Preferred: 3–5 years of fenestration manufacturing or installation experience.

• Preferred: AAMA Installation Training certification.
