Field Service Technician – Appliance Repair

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations to conduct maintenance and repairs on LG's equipment.

• Utilize all necessary safety equipment (PPE), vehicles, and diagnostic tools provided by LG.

• Perform technical diagnosis and specialized repairs on electronics and home appliances.

• Identify issues, evaluate their severity, document findings, and determine whether to repair products or replace components.

• Accurately complete paperwork and data entry following each job.

• Pre-screen service calls for the next day by gathering information to assist in diagnosing issues prior to arriving at customer homes.

• Achieve or surpass company metrics, including customer satisfaction, first-time fix rates, revisits, parts management, and overtime percentage.

• Represent LG Electronics in a professional manner while providing outstanding in-home customer experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a technical role (preferably in appliance repair).

• Proven experience in repairing major appliances (including refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, and cleaning products).

• Proficiency in using tools and diagnostic testing equipment.

• Capability to effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document product/system issues.

• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

• Ability to obtain the necessary EPA Certification.

• Capacity to continuously bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to work in the North Detroit metro area and its surroundings (including Pontiac, Troy, Waterford).
