Field Service Technician – Installation & Repair, Windows and Doors

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute advanced field diagnostics, repairs, and installations for windows and doors.

• Utilize knowledge from Field Service Technician 1, which includes basic repairs, inspections, safety compliance, inventory management, vehicle operation, and delivering excellent customer service.

• Identify and diagnose issues related to windows and doors, providing technical assistance via phone and email.

• Carry out water tests following company protocols and record results in internal software systems.

• Assess and support window and door installation initiatives.

• Organize and coordinate tasks requiring the collaboration of two or more technicians.

• Professionally manage warranty and service escalations.

• Conduct specialized repairs, including addressing water intrusion, shaped products, and installation diagnostics.

• Assist customers and sales teams through effective communication and precise documentation.

• Travel daily within the designated territory; overnight travel may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• AAMA Installation Training certification is preferred.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and successfully pass an MVR check.

• Preferred 3–5 years of experience in general construction or building material installation.

• Preferred 3–5 years of experience in fenestration manufacturing or installation.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Strong organizational abilities to manage jobs involving multiple technicians.

• Exceptional customer service and escalation management skills.

• Capability to consistently lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.

• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.

• Ability to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and complete necessary documentation.

• Solid understanding of installation practices for windows and doors.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
