Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +14 more states.

📋 Description

• Address customer requirements in alignment with Hi-Cone's organizational objectives.

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul automated packaging machinery at beverage manufacturing sites.

• Collaborate closely with customers, project managers, engineers, quality assurance personnel, and sales teams.

• Execute tasks safely in line with the company's safety vision.

• Determine equipment and material requirements for projects, coordinating with customer representatives and internal teams.

• Engage in and successfully complete job-related educational courses and training/testing programs.

• Contribute to the training of both internal and external personnel.

• Utilize hand and power tools relevant to the trade.

• Carry out necessary adjustments, repairs, and overhauls.

• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and drawings.

• Maintain proficiency in low- and high-voltage electrical systems, PLCs, servo motion systems, discrete and analog field devices, as well as basic wiring principles.

• Plan and execute travel independently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication abilities, including the capacity to compose professional emails and service reports.

• Proficient end-user computer skills.

• Capability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical schematics and drawings.

• Strong aptitude for mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and installation.

• Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and relay logic.

• Experience in Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLC and HMI programming is preferred.

• An electromechanical degree is preferred.

• Relevant vocational training or work experience may be considered acceptable.

• Must be capable of standing for 8 hours each day.

• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds for extended durations.

• Must reside within a 2-hour drive of a major airport.

• Must hold a valid driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and possess a valid passport at all times.

• Must be able to travel freely both domestically and internationally.

• Up to 85% travel is required.

• On-call availability for travel 24/7 when not on vacation or approved time off.
