Field Service Technician I – Dallas, TX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration/verification of instrumentation.

• Foster a positive customer experience and act as the primary on-site contact for technical and service-related inquiries.

• Provide service for instrumentation in both municipal and industrial environments, including water and wastewater facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, and food and beverage processing facilities.

• Service instruments in NEC hazardous locations when necessary.

• Timely submit accurate service reports that impact billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failures.

• Adhere to safe work practices in compliance with company policy.

• Carry out administrative tasks supporting service visits.

• Travel daily to customer locations throughout the Dallas-area territory.

• Report directly to the Field Service Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in field service and/or customer-facing roles.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• A clean driving record is essential.

• Must be able to rent a car and/or book hotel rooms under applicable state law.

• Possess mechanical aptitude.

• Experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is desirable.

• An associate's or technical degree is preferred, or a combination of education and experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Must be able to travel daily to customer sites, typically within a 2-hour radius.

• Willingness to undertake overnight travel, with 65–75% of weekly travel including overnight stays.

• Occasional travel to other states within the region for trips lasting up to one week.
