Field Service Technician I – Dallas, TX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional customer service at client locations.

• Conduct preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration/verification of Hach devices.

• Act as the primary on-site contact for customers regarding technical and service-related issues.

• Operate in municipal and industrial environments, such as water and wastewater facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, and food and beverage processing plants.

• Service instruments in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2) when applicable.

• Deliver timely and accurate service reports that impact billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failures.

• Adhere to safe work practices as per company policies.

• Perform administrative tasks to support service visits.

• Travel daily to customer locations within the Dallas-area territory.

• Report to the Field Service Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• At least 2 years of field service experience and/or experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.

• Capability to rent vehicles and/or hotel accommodations as per applicable state law.

• Mechanical aptitude along with experience in preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is advantageous.

• An associate's or technical degree is preferred, or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel daily to client locations, typically within a 2-hour radius.

• 65–75% of weekly travel will involve overnight stays.

• Occasional travel to other states in the region, with trips lasting up to one week.
