Field Service Technician I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Execute customer installations, maintenance, and service calls efficiently and promptly.

• Service electromechanical equipment, including self-checkout systems, within a designated territory.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and comprehensive system overhauls.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries.

• Engage with customers to identify and deliver appropriate solutions.

• Organize and prioritize customer issues effectively.

• Proactively address potential customer problems before they arise.

• Complete formal training to equip customers with necessary services.

• Collaborate with a diverse group of individuals and engage in the NCR Voyix learning community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a local candidate within a specific geographic region.

• Must be authorized to travel within the US.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets NCR fleet standards.

• Must have PC skills, basic electronic knowledge, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems.

• Must be capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Must be able to drive for several hours daily and endure extended travel.

• Must be available for rotating and weekend shifts.

• Must be flexible with shift work, which may include morning, afternoon, and evening start times, as well as some holidays.

• Must be able to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.

• Must be able to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects.

• Offers of employment are contingent upon passing applicable screening criteria.

• Preferred: Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software.

• Preferred: A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification.

• Preferred: One or more years of relevant experience.
