Field Service Technician I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Execute installations, maintenance, and service calls at client locations swiftly and effectively.

• Oversee the upkeep of electromechanical equipment, such as self-checkout systems, within a designated area.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance (PM), and system refurbishment tasks.

• Organize and prioritize customer inquiries and requests.

• Take initiative to address potential issues before they occur.

• Engage with customers in a transparent, helpful, and professional manner.

• Serve as a representative for the NCR Voyix brand.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside locally within the designated geographic area.

• Authorized to travel to the United States.

• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving history that meets NCR Voyix fleet standards.

• Proficient computer skills, basic understanding of electronics, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems.

• Capability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Willingness to travel for extended periods, including several hours of driving each day.

• Availability for rotating shifts and weekends.

• Flexible schedule—participation in rotating shifts within established teams, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times, as well as some holidays.

• Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lb. unassisted and up to 150 lb. with assistance.

• Capability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, perform manual tasks, and repeatedly grip and handle objects of various sizes.

• Knowledge of high-capacity servers, mainframes, and imaging software is an asset, but not mandatory.

• A+, CompTIA, or N+ certifications are advantageous, but not required.

• At least one year of relevant experience is beneficial, but not essential.
