This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Travel to client locations to initiate, commission, and effectively troubleshoot and repair Data Center equipment.
• Operate independently and oversee projects while on-site for commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with other trades and services present on-site.
• Execute factory start-up, commissioning, warranty, and billable services for Munters Data Center equipment and systems.
• Safeguard and maintain Munters equipment and property.
• Respond promptly to service requests from customers and management.
• Deliver training to customers on the operation of Munters equipment.
• Provide detailed technical feedback through comprehensive field service reports.
• Offer immediate responses to customer needs as an integral part of the Field Service team.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with extensive knowledge in the Mechanical field, particularly HVAC.
• Significant travel is necessary, up to 90%, throughout the USA via plane and car.
• In-depth understanding of electrical troubleshooting, capable of diagnosing electrical problems proficiently and documenting data.
• Familiarity with all safety protocols and requirements, including training in Arc flash, lockout/tagout, and other safety measures.
• Knowledgeable in the use of all personal protective equipment associated with electrical safety.
• Extensive refrigeration expertise, encompassing pressure testing, evacuation, system charging, troubleshooting, and diagnosing refrigeration issues.
• Skilled in brazing and soldering techniques.
• Possesses a universal refrigeration certification.
• Comprehensive knowledge in Controls, including troubleshooting, programming, or downloading to control systems.
• Understands PLCs and can work with various platforms; capable of accessing PLC information, making adjustments, and connecting to a computer for communication and modifications.
• (Optional) State Licensed Master HVAC mechanic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other site personnel, as well as Sales PM, Service Manager, and Technical Support staff.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Trade School preferred.
• Willingness to travel and be away from home for extended periods.
• Willing to take "On-call" responsibilities as needed.
• Open to occasionally working weekends and/or holidays.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Willing and able to work at heights of 6 feet or more as required.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety boots, hard hats, and hearing protection.
